many surrounding educational opportunities. Nearby Jefferson State Community College,
Wallace State Community College, Snead State Community College, and Gadsden State
Community College all offer interesting courses especially for seniors as well as academic
classes. All offer free or discounted tuition for senior citizens. Schedules involve
daytime, evening, and weekend classes as well as seminars to allow maximum participation
by all people interested in education at the college level.

in Birmingham, Gadsden, Tuscaloosa, and Huntsville, all within driving distance of Blount
